Tipperary’s Kate Flannery is eyeing an International call up in 2025.
The Bansha native has had an impressive 2024, winning an AIL title with UL Bohemian, getting to an interprovincial final with Munster whilst also vice-captaining Ireland’s U20 team for the Summer Series.
The 20-year-old Tipp woman was also included as a training panelist for Ireland’s senior squad ahead of the Six Nations earlier this year.
Speaking to Tipp FM, Kate says she’s looking to continue her development in 2025:
“From 2024, I just want to build on that and keep that consistency in my game going forward and definitely to try get back in to the Irish set up.
“Whether it’s in as a training panelist or being selected for the squad would be a goal of mine just to try and get back in the set up and get that opportunity to really just put my best foot forward.
“That’s definitely the main goal for next year is to try and get in to one of the Ireland squads because there’s obviously lots of exciting opportunities between Six Nations and a World Cup coming around the corner.”
