Rebuilding Ireland – the government’s action plan for housing and homelessness – aims to see a minimum of 1,400 vacant social housing units returned to productive use this year.

Tipperary County Council has been given €751,000 under the project which will allow them to carry out works on 58 local authority houses.

Director of Services for Housing Clare Curly says they have been working with the Department to secure as much funding as possible.
