7 people have been rescued from a cruiser on Lough Derg.
The 20 foot boat had suffered engine failure and was drifting towards rocks, west of Garrykennedy Harbour.

5 children and 2 adults were onboard.
A small speedboat took the casualty vessel under tow to safe water.
At the request of Valentia Coast Guard, the Lough Derg lifeboat accompanied the boat to Garrykennedy Harbour.
