People in Tipperary waiting to sit their driving test can expect a long wait.

The waiting list for driving tests has almost doubled in the past two months.

Over 76-thousand people are now waiting to be assessed, with the longest wait now at 7 months in parts of Tipperary and Galway.

According to the Sunday Business Post, the national average is now at three and a half months – a month longer than the target.
