Up until recently, there was confusion over where ownership lay for the Military Barracks in Nenagh.

Councillor Seamie Morris brought the historical site into the conversation at this month’s meeting of the Nenagh MD, which prompted a lengthy discussion about the future of the site.

Local councillors expressed fears about dereliction and whether or not the Military Barracks is savable.

Jody Coffey spoke with Cllr. Morris, who is demanding a survey of the viability of the site be carried out by the Department of Defense before anything else.

But first, she started by asking him about the historical importance of the Military Barracks.
