Two teenage boys have been arrested in the US after a Tipperary chef was shot dead outside his own restaurant
Tributes have been paid locally in Kansas City to Shaun Brady who was in his 40s and originally from Nenagh.
He is reported to have met his American wife here in Ireland before moving to the US.
Mr Brady was well known in Kansas City where he has appeared in local newspapers and TV on numerous occasions in relation to his own restaurant and to promote Irish Fest – a festival organised by the Irish community there.
Witnesses told police that he had been taking out the rubbish from the kitchen when he saw a group of people who may have been trying to break into a car in the carpark.
Shaun tried to intervene and was shot.
Kansas City police say two teenage boys are in custody pending further investigation.
