Both people arrested over the murder of Josephine Ray in Nenagh released after questioning

Two people questioned over the murder of Josephine Ray in Nenagh have been released without charge but files are being prepared for the DPP.

A man and woman aged in their 50s were arrested Friday just hours after the funeral of the 89-year-old whose body was found last Sunday at her home in St Josephs Park.

The man was released on Saturday afternoon.

The woman was held for several more hours before being released late Saturday night.

Files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosectutions.

Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses who were in the St Joseph’s Park area on Saturday evening or Sunday morning and in particular anyone with video recordings, including motorists and delivery drivers with dash cam footage.
