There’s plenty of Tipperary interest at day one of the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon.

Rachael Blackmore is on the undefeated Honeysuckle in the featured race of the day – the Champion Hurdle at 5-past-3.

A win would see her become the first female jockey to win the showpiece race on the opening day of the Festival.

The in-form Killenaule native competes in four races today, and starts her week onboard Irascible in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at 20-past-1.

Meanwhile, Cloughjordan based trainer Denis Hogan has two horses running at the festival today.

Zoffanien runs in the Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at quarter-past-4 while Macgiloney features in the 4.50 Grade 2 Novices’ Chase.
