A large scale housing development in Cashel is back on track after an unsuccessful appeal.
Tipperary County Council had granted permission for more than 100 new homes, along with a creche, at Hughes Lot in the town in May.
It was comprised of 81 houses and 20 apartments on a near 4 hectare site with access from a new roundabout on the R691 Dualla Road.
This was subsequently appealed to An Bord Pleanala regarding concerns over the impact on Crotty’s Lane which is adjacent to the site.
The state planning appeals board have now ruled that the Dulla Developments can proceed subject to vehicular access not being allowed onto Crotty’s Lane at this time.
