A Tipperary senior footballer reached a significant career milestone yesterday.
Full-back Jimmy Feehan made his 100th competitive appearance for the Tipperary senior team in yesterday’s defeat to Wicklow.
The Killenaule native debuted in 2015 and has won Munster football titles at minor, u21 and the senior grade.
Feehan was presented with a special framed jersey from the Friends of Tipperary Football in Clonmel yesterday and speaking after the game, Tipp manager Philly Ryan says reaching the 100th appearance mark is significant achievement:
“I said a few words about Jimmy in the team meeting earlier on.
“Jimmy started as a minor in 2012 winning a Munster title, he won an U21 (Munster title) in 2015 and a senior in 2020 and here he is five years later playing his 100th game.
“It’s not an easy thing to do for Tipp to keep going for that many years and get that many games under your belt.”
