A post-mortem is due to take place today on the body of a Tipperary man found dead in Limerick.
44-year-old William Tiernan from Coolbawn, Nenagh, had been missing from the city since Tuesday afternoon.
Gardai confirmed yesterday his body had been found on the bank of the canal at Corbally.
It was removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination, which will be carried out later today.
