Des Hanafin has been described as a man of integrity and strong convictions who lived a long and colourful life – “a man for all seasons!”.
His children, former Minister Mary and former Senator John, paid emotional tributes to the 86-year-old at his funeral in Thurles today while FF’s Eamon O’Cuiv delivered the graveside oration.
