Clonoulty Rossmore were crowned West Senior Hurling Champions last evening, with a five point victory over Eire Og Annacarthy.

Nothing could separate the sides in the first half, with Eire Og leading by just a single point into the break.

The point for point trend continued in the second half, and a goal from Donal O’ Dwyer for Annacarthy still couldn’t put daylight between the sides.

Former inter county hurler Timmy Hammersly was brought on, and Clonoulty totally dominated play in the last quarter – They pushed on to win 1-14 to 1-9.

Both teams are safely through to the County Quarter finals having recently come out on top of each of their groups.
