Tipp Eyes on O’Brien ahead of Irish Oaks

The Irish Oaks- worth 400 thousand euro- will go to post at 5:45 and Tipperary racing fans will be keeping an eye on Aidan O' Brien, who has saddled up five entries for the feature.

They are; Beyond Brilliance, Bracelet, Marvellous, Palace and Tapestry.

The Ballydoyle trainer, who won a hat-trick of Oaks, but hasn't triumphed since the last of those, in 2008, will hope that one of those can secure his first victory in 6 years.

David Jennings of the Racing Post foresees Tapestry being the one to secure a win for O' Brie

But, aside from the Irish Oaks, there's plenty of Tipperary interest across the rest of the card at the Curragh.

+”Aidan O' Brien will be hoping to win his first Irish Oaks since 2008, but if he doesn't he may get a win elsewhere on the card at The Curragh.

He saddles up East India, St. Patrick's Day AND Torrey Pines in the opening race at 3 o' clock- 'The Darley EBF Maiden'.

The Ballydoyle trainer sends in Darwin and Michaelmas in the 20 to 5, alongside the Tommy Stack trained Waltzing Matilda, while he will run Dick Whittington in the following race at 10 past 5.

O' Brien also enters Blackstone in 'The Kiloaran 50th Anniversary Handicap' at 20 past 6 and Annus Mirabilis in 'The Irish Field Maiden at 10 to 7, where he faces competition from David Wachman's No Wunder.

Wachman also has Photo Call running in the 10 past 4, with Hi Emperor going for David Marnane in the 'The Marker Hotel Handicap' at 25 to 4″.
