Tipp duo first to complete as tandem in race around Ireland

Two Tipperary cyclists have become the first tandem pair to complete the Race Around Ireland.

Sean Hahessy from Carrick on Suir and Drombane’s Peter Ryan finished the 2,150 kilometre ultra-endurance event in a time of 123 hours 32 minutes.

Speaking to Tipp FM shortly after they finished Sean said the lack of sleep was without doubt the toughest part of the challenge.
