Given Tipp’s route though the qualifiers of the hurling championship, it’s expected that the club championship season will come to a halt for the entire month of July.
The news comes as frustration has been expressed over the structuring of the club championship by players and management of a number of clubs.
However, County Board vice chairman John Devane says there will be club league hurling and football games played across the quieter weeks.
