The race for the last two Champions League berths will go down to the final day of the Premier League season.

Manchester City are all-but assured of a spot at European football’s top table following last night’s 3-1 win over West Brom at the Etihad.

Arsenal remain three points off City and a single point adrift of Liverpool after a hard-fought 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Alexis Sanchez got both goals in a 2-nil victory at a far-from-full Emirates.

A Champions League spot – via a top-4 finish – is now beyond Manchester United.

As such, Jose Mourinho may take tonight’s trip to Southampton as an opportunity to rest a host of players with the Europa League final in a week’s time.

Kick off at St. Mary’s is at 7.45.

Should they avoid defeat tonight, Monaco will be confirmed as French league champions for the first time in 17-years.

They play host to Saint-Etienne knowing a draw will see them crowned champions with a game to spare.
