Round-robin hurling championship should give clubs certainty

A round-robin-style provincial championship should give counties and clubs certainty on match fixtures.

Being run on a points-based system means drawn games will be allowed under the new structure, benefiting both county and club players.

The proposals would also see each team in Munster guaranteed two home and two away games.

Former Tipperary hurling manager Liam Sheedy says the new system would address the issues there at the moment.
