The roads around Faugheen in South Tipperary will echo to the sounds of highly tuned motorcycle engines this weekend.
The village near Carrick on Suir is playing host to the annual Faugheen 50 Road Races with some of the best proponents of the high-speed sport in action.
Practice and qualifying takes place from midday today with racing on Sunday from 11.
Competitors from across Ireland and further afield will be competing at speeds in excess 260 kilometres per hour on the 3.7 kilometre circuit.
