Japan test great preparation for World Cup 2019

Ireland coach Joe Schmidt has confirmed that Simon Zebo misses Saturday’s second test with Japan due to fluid on his knee.

The Munster man is replaced at full back by his provincial club mate Andrew Conway.

Keith Earls and Jacob Stockdale are on the wings with Gary Ringrose and Luke Marshall in the centre.

Paddy Jackson and Kieran Marmion are the half backs.

Cian Healy, James Tracy and John Ryan are the front row with Kieran Treadwell and Devin Toner in the second row.

Rhys Ruddock captains the team from the back row where he’s paired with Jack Conan and Josh van der Flier.

On the bench it’s Niall Scannell, Dave Kilcoyne, Andrew Porter, James Ryan, Sean Reidy, John Cooney, Rory Scannell and Tiernan O’Halloran.

Ireland return to Japan for the world cup in 2019 when they will face the hosts and Out half Paddy Jackson says this tour is good preparation for that.
