Irish provinces lose Champions Cup semis

Leinster head coach Leo Cullen says the squad feel that yesterday’s Champions Cup semi-final defeat to Clermont was “one that got away from them”.

The province fell to a 27-22 loss in Lyon.

Leinster had reduced a 15 point gap to just 2 points in the final quarter, but were unable to force their way into the lead.

Clermont take on Saracens in the final at Murrayfield next month after the English side beat Munster on Saturday.
