Tipp jockey to the fore in Ballinrobe

Fethard-born rider Ben Coen was the jockey in form as he rode a double at Ballinrobe last night, and they could not have been two more contrasting winners.

After landing the 1 mile 2 furlong handicap in the last stride on Stormy Tale for Mick Mulvany, he followed up when riding Solar Heat for Mullingar trainer Dot Love in the Tote Apprentice Handicap.

The 9 year old daughter of Jeremy appreciated the little bit of an ease in the ground and really scooted clear in the last furlong to score by no less than 11 lengths from Lleyton.

The action continues at Ballinrobe this evening where the first of seven races goes to post at 5.50.
