Irish Grand National Day

They’re under starters orders at Fairyhouse today for the Irish Grand National

Gordon Elliott’s 10-strong squad is headed by Lord Scoundrel, while Noble Endeavour, Cheltenham Festival winner Tiger Roll and last year’s runner-up Bless The Wings are also part of the formidable Elliott-trained team.

Willie Mullins, who has yet to win an Irish National, goes into battle with three runners – Haymount, Arbre De Vie and Sambremont.

That goes to post at 5pm while the first race is away at 2:45pm.

There’s also racing in Cork where the first race gets underway at 1:50pm.
