Tipperary seek to define melee at congress

Tipperary’s motion to define a ‘melee’ has made it to the clár of Congress.

Officials in the county are seeking to have the word clearly defined at the meeting which takes place at the end of this month.

It follows Jason Forde’s one match ban following the on-field incident with Davy Fitzgerald during Tipperary’s league semi-final clash with Wexford last year.

The uncertainty around the definition of the word has sparked the motion from the county board – which is looking to define a melee as involving five players or persons.
