Tipp clubs down to business end of the championship

Tipperary senior clubs are down to the business end of the championship, however for dual clubs in particular, this means playing a lot of games in a short timeframe.

Eire Og Annacarthy are one of those clubs – last night their senior footballers lost to Arravale Rovers in the West semi-final.

Come next Tuesday their senior hurlers and footballers will have played four championship games in 13 days across both codes.

They’ll face Loughmore Castleiney, who by the time the final whistle blows in that match, will have played five senior championship games in just 17 days.

Loughmore Castleiney coach Alan O’ Connor says dual clubs in particular just have to get on with it.
