Westmeath’s Ryan says Tipp clash a mammoth ask

Westmeath manager Michael Ryan says a draw against Tipperary was the last pairing they were hoping for in the upcoming qualifiers.

The Leinster side travel to Semple Stadium this weekend to take on the Premier in a double header at the Thurles venue with the Tipp Senior Camogie team in action against Limerick the curtain raiser.

Ryan – who hails from Fourmilewater – said the county board had made approaches to have the game moved to Cusack Park in Westmeath but it was declined.

Speaking on Extra Time last night he says they will give it their all but knows it’s a hard ask come Saturday

Meanwhile The Tipperary Senior Camogie side are continuing preparations for their clash with Limerick ahead of the hurling qualifier.

Former Tipp star Geraldine Kinnane says the girls will relish the chance to play on the hallowed ground of Semple and will see it as a must win game
