Drom & Inch are through to the County Senior Hurling semi finals after they defeated West champions Clonoulty Rossmore 2-26 to 1-14 at Semple Stadium.

Leading 0-12 to 1-7 at the break Drom picked up the pace in the 2nd half with two goals arriving from Joey Maher and Seamus Callanan.

Speaking to Tipp FM Sport after the game Drom Inch chairman John Egan said they knew they’d need a good performance to overcome Clonoulty.

Borrisoleigh are into the last four in the senior hurling championship for the first time since 2013 after they beat Loughmore Castleiney in a close encounter yesterday evening.

Loughmore led 0-11 to 0-10 at half time but the North champions stormed into the game hitting a purple patch late in the 2nd half in which Niall Kenny rattled the net helping Borris to a 1-18 to 0-14 lead.

The Mid side hit the last 1-3 of the game but a consolation goal from Noel McGrath on full time wasn’t enough to earn a draw as Borris ran out one point winners on a 1-18 to 1-17 scoreline

After the game Borris manager Johnny Kelly told Tipp FM Sport they knew it would be a close game.

On Saturday Eire Og Annacarty and Thurles Sarsfield booked their place in the County Senior Hurling Semi Finals next weekend after wins over Mullinahone and Kilruane McDonaghs respectively.

While Kilruane forced Thurles Sarsfield into extra time after it ended all square in normal time – and despite battling bravely, two early goals in extra time from Sars Lar Corbett and Pa Bourke secured victory for Paddy McCormack’s side.
