The new Munster, Leinster and All Ireland hurling championship structures will take away from the spectacle of the sport.
That’s according to former Tipp hurler Paddy Stapleton who says the format, which begins in 2018, will see mentality switch to a drawn-out Premier League style.
While players have said they want more games, Stapleton believes these new structures are the wrong way to go about it.
He is critical of the approach of the GAA.
