Seamus O Riain quarter finals down for decision

The Seamus O Riain hurling quarter finals take place today.

JK Bracken’s take on Lorrha Dorrha at half five in Cloughjordan, and Holycross Ballycahill play Clonakenny in the Ragg at the same time.

The early game gets undrway at 1.30.

Toomevara face Silvermines in the first game of a double header in Nenagh, and that’s followed by Templederry Kenyons and Roscrea at 3.

Tipperary GAA C.C.C Secretary Tom Maher says that while Toomevara are going well, they’ve a long way to go before they get back to contesting All Ireland club championships…

The relegation games in the Seamus O Riain Cup also get underway this afternoon.

Moycarkey Borris play Borrisokane in Templemore at 3 o clock, and Knockavilla Kickhams face Ballingarry at 5 o clock in Cashel

There’s one senior hurling relegation game this evening, which sees Kiladangan go up against Ballina in Newport at 5.30 in the first of a round robin of games.

And in the county senior hurling championship,

Borrisoleigh face Carrick Swans in a preliminary quarter final, following Swans’ victory over Killenaule in the South Hurling Final last week.
