Gleeson takes up Antrim job

As expected former Tipperary goalkeeper Darren Gleeson has been appointed Antrim senior hurling manager.

The Portroe man was goalkeeping coach with Tipp this year while at the same time was part of the Saffrons set-up.

The 38 year old – who won two All Ireland’s – takes over from Neal Peden who has been announced as Antrim’s first director of hurling.
