County Senior Hurling Championship resumes

This evening sees the County Senior Hurling Championship resume, with a raft of games down for decision.

Group 1 is wide open, with the possibility of any team qualifying.

Near neighbours Upperchurch Drombane and Borrisoleigh clash in Semple Stadium at 7 o clock, while at the same time last years beaten county finalists Kiladangan take on Loughmore Castleiney in Dolla.

Loughmore/Castleiney captain Aiden McGrath says they’ll know their fate come half 8 this evening.

Meanwhile, in group 2, in Cloughjordan, Drom & Inch face Ballina, as Clonoulty Rossmore and Portroe clash in Dolla. Both of those games get underway at 5.30.

Group 3 sees a battle of the towns as reigning champions Thurles Sarsfields and Nenagh Eire Og meet in Templemore.

The other Group 3 game of Kilruane McDonaghs and Carrick Swans has been deferred until 6pm on Sunday evening in Boherlahan due to a berevement in the Swans club.

Finally in group 4 at 5.30 South rivals Killenaule and Mullinahone clash in Munroe as West Tipp’s Eire Og Annacarthy take on Burgess in Semple Stadium.
