County Senior hurling championship results

In the county Senior Hurling Championship, following the action last evening, four definite quarter finalists for the Dan Breen Cup are known.

Loughmore Castleiney, Clonoulty Rossmore, defending champions Thurles Sarsfields and Eire Og Annacarthy are all safely through, as they top their groups.

Borrisoleigh, Drom and Inch, Kilruane McDonaghs and Mullinahone are also provisionally through, however, if a team outside of these 8 wins a divisional championship – there will have to be preliminary quarter finals.

There will be a draw to determine what 2nd placed team plays a divisional winner.

Eire Og Annacarthy are safely thouugh, and their manager Ollie Kelly says their workrate got them the win…

The final game – Group 3’s Kilruane McDonagh’s and Carrick Swans gets underway at 6 o clock this evening in Boherlahan.

Meanwhile, Today sees the Seamus O Riain hurling competition continue with two Group 1 games.

Roscrea and Ballingarry meet in the Ragg at 12, and North rivals Newport and Toomevara clash in Nenagh at the same time.

In Group 2 Moycarkey Borris and Silvermines meet at 1.30 in the Ragg.

Theres one game in group 3 as Clonakenny and Borrisokane meet in Roscrea at 7pm this evening.

Finally in group 4 Knockavilla Kickhams and Lorrha will battle it out in Nenagh at 1.30pm
