Work commitments cited for Bergin departure

Tipperary senior hurling management will have to plan the championship without Kieran Bergin.

It follows the Killenaule Club man’s decision to departure from the hurling squad.

Tipp FM sport confirmed yesterday evening that the 31 year old had opted to leave Michael Ryan’s set up citing work commitments.

Bergin was part of last year’s All Ireland winning panel – He didn’t feature in last weekend’s League Final defeat to Galway or the semi final victory over Wexford but did start against Dublin and Waterford.

The Killenaule club man also has two Munster medals with Tipp from 2015 and 2016.
