Cathal Barrett has been dropped from the Senior Hurling panel.
Speculation was rife yesterday regarding the future of the Holycross – Ballycahil clubman in Michael Ryan’s squad.
Tipp FM understands that in the past 24 hours the players were informed by management of their decision to remove him from the panel.
Barrett was already out for six weeks after sustaining an injury injured in Tipperary’s Championship opener defeat to Cork.
