Cathal Barrett is to return to the Tipperary hurling squad for the new season.
The All Star defender was released from the squad last May for disciplinary reasons – however following recent talks with the Tipp management team he is set to rejoin as preparations begin for 2018.
Meanwhile Tipp’s John O’Keefe has announced his retirement from the inter-county scene – the Clonoulty Rossmore man has won Senior and Minor All Ireland’s with Tipp.
