Tipp U20 footballers out of Munster Championship

Tipperary U20 footballers exit the championship after being beaten by a point by Limerick – despite being 8 points up at one stage in the second half of last night’s Munster Quarter Final

Tipp led 0-8 to 0-5 at the break at Semple Stadium, having squandered a number of chances to be further ahead.

A Riain Quigley 2nd half goal looked to have pointed Tipp towards a winning path, but Limerick then took control and edged ahead late on winning 1-13 to 1-12.

After the game Tipp manager Tom McGlinchey told Tipp FM Sport that he was disappointed to surrender such a strong lead

In the other game in Munster Waterford got the better of Clare on a scoreline of 1-10 to 1-9.

In the Leinster under 20 Football Championship, Dublin beat Longford by 4-21 to 7 points.

Meath saw off Offaly by 1-12 to 12 points.

It finished Wexford 3-10, Louth 16 points

and Laois advanced to the semi finals with a 2-20 to 20 points win over Westmeath after extra time.
