Kearns welcomes extra preperation time for football qualifiers

Liam Kearns says losing to Cork in the Munster Senior Football Championship could be a blessing in Disguise.

The Premier footballers lost to Cork by a point on Saturday in Pairc Ui Rinn and are now going into the qualifiers to continue their campaign.

If Tipp had won they’d be facing into a Munster final against Kerry on the 2nd of July after a 14-man Kingdom side beat Clare in Ennis yesterday.

But with Michael Quinlivan suffering suspected ligament damage and 10 players already out through injury, suspension and emigration Manager kearns says that would have been a tough prospect.

They’ll have a month off now ahead of the qualifiers and Kearns says the extra weeks preparation and recovery time is a silver lining for them
