Kearns hits out at Comerford punishment

Tipperary Senior Football manager Liam Kearns has hit out at the punishment handed down to goalkeeper Evan Comerford for his sending off in a recent club game.

The All Star nominee was given a 12 match ban for an altercation with the referee during a game between his club Kilsheelan Kilcash and JK Brackens.

They unsuccessfully appealed the Competitions Control Committee ruling – however Liam Kearns says to take it further would distract from the upcoming Munster Championship game against Cork and put added pressure on Comerford.

Speaking to Tipp FM the Tipp manager says the ruling will have a huge impact on their season.
