Commercials and Killenaule to meet in County Senior Football Final

Clonmel Commercials and Killenaule are set to go head to head in the County Senior Football final.

Commercials overcame last years’ County Champions Loughmore Castleiney to book their place in the final with a three point win.

It finished up 1-9 to 1-6.

Both teams finished the game with 14 players, following two yellow cards for Ross Peters and Liam McGrath.

Following last years’ defeat, Commercials Manager Charlie McGeever says his players learned how to handle themselves in the closing stages of the game…

Meanwhile, extra time was needed for Killenaule to secure their victory over Moyle Rovers as it finished 1-14 to 2-11 on full time.

Killenaule took the early lead in the first period of extra time – and despite a comeback by Moyle Rovers, Killenaule managed to hold on.

They won by the narrowest of margins – 2-16 to 1-18.
