Club fixtures back in the spotlight

There’s renewed criticism of the fixture difficulties facing clubs in Tipperary.

Many competitions were put on hold while the Premier was involved in inter-county competitions.

Now that Tipp are out of both hurling and football the focus is back on club action.

Following Clonoulty Rossmore’s semi-final win in the West Tipp Intermediate football championship last evening assistant manager Joey O Keefe told Tipp FM Sport that fixtures are coming in quick succession now.

The second of the South Tipp Senior Football Championship semi-finals will hopefully be decided tonight.

Clonmel Commercials take on Ardfinnan in Ballyporeen with an 8 o’clock throw-in.

Who they’ll face in the final is still unknown as extra time failed to separate Killenaule and Moyle Rovers.
