Former All Ireland winning captain Tommy Dunne looks set to take the managerial post with Tipperary’s Under 17 hurlers.
The Toomevara native has previously coached both the Tipp Senior, Under 21 and Minor squads as well as the Dublin senior hurlers.
His appointment is likely to be ratified at the next County Board meeting at the end of this month.
The positions of Michael Ryan as Senior Hurling manager and Liam Cahill at Under 21 are also expected to be confirmed.
Meanwhile Liam Kearns looks set to remain on as senior football manager.
