Dublin and Tyrone square up in All Ireland Football Semi Final

The second of this year’s All-Ireland football semi-finals takes place this afternoon.

It pits back-to-back All-Ireland champions Dublin against a Tyrone side who have enjoyed a successful Championship so far.

Mickey Harte’s side were convincing winners of the Ulster Championship and also saw off Armagh with ease in the last eight.

Dublin have also had a comfortable progression to this stage, winning yet another Leinster title and overcoming Monaghan in the quarter-finals.

Manager Jim Gavin has been boosted by the return of Diarmuid Connolly after a three-match suspension, but he hasn’t been named in the starting 15 announced yesterday.

Throw-in is at 4pm with the minor semi-final between Dublin and Derry preceding it at 2pm.
