County Board urged not to do away with Divisional Championships

The importance of the divisional championships in enticing young players to continue with GAA has been highlighted by a former West Tipp Chairman.

Tom English says winning divisional silverware means a lot to clubs.

It also gives them the opportunity to get back in to the county championship if they’ve been knocked out early on.

Former West Chairman Tom English says if younger players see no chance of success with their clubs they will go elsewhere.
