Club hurling and football results and fixtures

Round 2 of the West Senior Hurling Championship gets underway this afternoon – with Eire Og Annacarthy facing Knockavilla Kickhams.

Having overcome Clonoutly/Rossmore last week, Eire Og will be favoured to come out on top.

The game throws in at 1.15 in Golden.

Meanwhile, Galtee Rovers have booked their place in the West Senior Football Championship final, following a 5 point victory over neighbours Aherlow Gaels last evening.

It finished up: Galtee Rovers 2-7 Aherlow Gaels 8 points.

The other semi final between Eire Og Annacarthy and Arravale Rovers takes place on Wednesday.

To the North of the county and defending North Senior Hurling Champions Kiladangan were knocked out at the semi-final stage of the competition last evening, by Nenagh Eire Og.

It finished up Kildangan 0-15 Nenagh Eire Og 0-19

Borris-Ileigh and Templederry Kenyons will battle it out for a place in the final this evening at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh at 6.30pm.

Three of the four semi finalists in the Mid Tipp Senior Hurling Championship are now known.

On Friday Loughmore Castleiney comprehensively beat Clonakenny 27 points to 4.

While last evening, Upperchurch Drombane beat JK Brackens 2-24 to 1-15.

And Thurles Sarsfields shocked Drom & Inch – beating them well 3-27 to 1-16.

In the last quarter final pairing, Moycarkey Borris face Holycross in Boherlahan at 2pm this afternoon.

Finally, there were two south senior football Quarter finals down for decision last evening, where Ardfinnan overcame Fethard 1-10 to 10 points.

And Clonmel Commercials easily got the better of Kilsheelan Kilcash 2-16 to 6 points.
