Further frustrations expressed with structure of club championships

Further frustration’s been expressed about the level of Tipperary club games in both codes being played within days of each other.

Having overcome Kilksheelan Kilcash in Round 2 of the County Senior Football Championship last night, JK Brackens are in club hurling action on Saturday with virtually the same team lining out.

Manager Jim Mullen says it means players with injuries just dont get sufficient recovery time

Meanwhile, there are a number of county senior football games down for decision this evening.

In Group 2 Arravale Rovers face Moyle Rovers in Golden at half 7, and Aherlow Gaels take on Fethard at 8 in New Inn.

In Group 3 Ardfinnan play Eire Og Anacarthy/Donohill in Bansha, and Loughmore-Castleiney play Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun in Leahy Park Cashel. Both those games throw in at 7.30.

And finally, in Group 4 Ballyporeen face Clonmel Commercials in Cahir. That game also gets under way at half 7.
