Defending champions hoping to hone their performance for semi-final.

Loughmore-Castleiney manager Declan Laffan says his side need to use the two week break before their County Senior Football Semi-Final to “fine-tune” their performance.

Last year's champions got through a hard fought game against Arravale Rovers in Holycross yesterday, winning on a scoreline of 12 points to 9 to keep their title defence on track.

And Laffan says the break between fixtures can only benefit his side.

In the other quarter final at the weekend, Thomas McDonaghs beat South Champions Killenaule by 1-9 to 8 points.
