Chelsea Dent Liverpool’s Title Bid

They lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Anfield this afternoon.

A Steven Gerrard mistake allowed Demba Ba to score for the Blues on the stroke of half time.

And Willian scored the second in injury time to seal the 3 points.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says his side were the better team.

They are now just 2 points behind Liverpool, with both sides having two games to play.

The loss for Liverpool now means Manchester City have moved to within 3 points of the leaders, while also having a game in hand and a better goal difference.

That's after they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park, thanks to an Edin Dzeko header and a Yaya Toure strike.

Meanwhile, Sunderland have moved out of the relegation zone.

They thrashed 10-man Cardiff City 4-0 in a relegation six-pointer at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

Conor Wickham netted a brace, bringing his tally to five goals in his last three games for Sunderland.

Fabio Borini also scored from the penalty spot after the referee judged that Juan Cala had fouled Wickham in the box.

Cala was then sent off for that foul.

Emanuele Giaccherini was the other goalscorer for Sunderland as they moved up to 17th place in the table with three games remaining as Norwich dropped down to the relegation zone.
