Avondhu Lady was strongly favoured to win the Carrick on Suir Mares Handicap Hurdle, but could only finish in third, as Cheap As Chips claimed victory, ahead of Lead Kindly Light.
The Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase, which was worth €17,000, was expected to go to Carloswayback; however, the Paul Nolan trained horse ended up in fourth, with More Madness taking first place.
Mister First was second, with Hidden Crack in third.
