Arsenal most successful club in FA history

Arsenal are officially the most successful club in FA Cup history.

They beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley to claim the title for a 13th time.

The victory also sees Arsene Wenger win the trophy on a record-breaking seven occasions.

It means Chelsea have been denied a double in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says his future at the club will become clearer later this week.

His contract expires this summer following months of speculation over a new deal.

The Frenchman became the first manager to win seven FA Cups after yesterday’s 2-1 win over league champions Chelsea.

Wenger says his fate needs to be decided without sentiment.

Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas insists he’s happy at the club despite not starting yesterday’s FA Cup final.

The Premier League champions were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal at Wembley – ending their hopes of a double.

Fabregas came off the bench against his former side with 30 minutes to play.

He says staying at Stamford Bridge would be his preferred choice – but he’s not ruling anything out.
