Kildare were beaten thanks to two last minutes goals from Tyrone in Newbridge.
It ended 3-16 to 1-21 to Mickey Harte's side.
At Celtic Park Derry defeated Westmeath by 3-16 to 12 points.
In Division 2 Donegal defeated Monaghan by 2-11 to 10 points.
